A Beautiful Rainy Day Wedding at Southwind Plantation in Wellington, Alabama

Most couples dread rain on their wedding day. Not Jessalyn and Canon! We truly believe that this day would not have been what it was without it. They embraced every minute of this day, rain and all. It didn’t stop them from standing in the rain to get some amazing shots. Jessalyn even went as far as running through the large puddles that were more like small ponds! The rain didn’t stop the many family and friends from coming to celebrate with them either. Jessalyn and Canon’s focus was on starting their life together, therefore the weather played no role other than providing for some fun and beautiful photo opts.

The barn at Southwind Plantation in Wellington, Alabama, looked so beautiful with the fall colors just starting to peek in the hills surrounding this gorgeous spread of land. The low hanging clouds and the steady rain actually added a romantic feel that set the tone for the day. Combine the perfect landscape with Jessalyn in her beautiful, off the shoulder wedding gown, her bridesmaids in a soft blush and Canon and his groomsmen looking sharp in their navy suits and this day was a dream! Rain and all!

We knew when we met Jessalyn and Canon at Waffle House to plan their engagement session that we would do in Nashville, Tennessee (in which it rained also, but that didn’t affect a thing) that they were special. This couple and their attitude of ‘do what you have to do’, no matter what, made working with them so much fun! There was no stress, no complications. And when you have an attitude like theirs, you have images like these!
