An Intimate Birmingham Alabama Wedding

We’ve tried hard to keep our blogs as Covid free as possible.  Every wedding, every engagement session that we’ve had over the past 6 plus months, like so very many, has been affected in one way or another, by “the virus”.  So, we have tried to focus on all the positive, and there has been so much positive!  Natasha and Colin reached out to us due to their having to change their original wedding plans.  If they were stressed or panicked due to their change, it certainly didn’t show!  When they reached out to us, we had a change in our schedule that allowed us to accommodate them in their need and we couldn’t be more thankful that they found us.  We were certain that it was meant to be.

These two were engaged in New York and already had an engagement session in Charleston, SC. Natasha is from Vestavia Hills, AL, Colin is from Tuscon, AZ, which is where they both now live.  Their original wedding plans were to be in Charleston, SC.  They will still celebrate their marriage with friends and family in Charleston when the time is right. So if anyone has the right to be stressed, it’s these two!  But, you would NEVER have known that there were any obstacles leading up to this day!  It was the most intimate and blissful day.  It wasn’t about the number gathered.  It wasn’t about the grandeur or the spectacular details.  Although, the numbered gathered could not have been any more perfect.  It was grand and spectacular in its way.  The Sybil Temple in Vestavia was the perfect setting on this beautiful Alabama evening.  Every detail, from the florals to the table setting and the food, could not have been more elegant.  But overall, it was the feeling that surrounded this ceremony.  In this small, intimate wedding, it was the love from everyone there that set the tone entirely.  There were a total of 10 guests.  Natasha and Colin didn’t have to mingle with 200 guests.  They were able to take their time and take everything in.  They enjoyed a first dance, cut their cake, and everyone was able to sit at one table to enjoy a true family dinner.  No pressure, no rush.  Sometimes at a large wedding event, the couple can get lost and overwhelmed with everything and can’t really remember the details of the day.  They will remember every moment of their wedding day.  We, too, will remember every moment!  These two chose to tie the knot this way because what mattered most to them was the unity.  At the end of the day, they were Mr. & Mrs. Anderson.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words.  We feel that these images truly say what these two were feeling!

We are so very thankful that you found us, Natasha and Colin!  We appreciate not just the opportunity that you gave to us, but the honor of allowing us to witness and document this chapter in your lives.  Your wedding day is one that will stay with us forever.  You and your family made us feel welcome and truly made us feel like we belonged there and for that we thank you most.  We wish you all the happiness that you both deserve!

Love, Katie & Cindy
