Here in Alabama, we either experience dry, dull, colorless falls or, if we are fortunate, we have ample rain in early fall and experience a fall rich with reds, oranges and golden yellows. Fall of 2018 was one for the books! The leaves and the colors were in abundance that lasted a little longer than average. So we took full advantage!
Katie & Dan chose to have their engagement session in downtown Birmingham. We spent some time at one of our favorite spots, the Robert S. Vance Federal Building. This is the perfect location for those, like Katie & Dan, that are looking for an urban feel in their images. After hanging out there for a while, we then went to Linn Park. This lovely park gives the urban feel but with a different vibe. Throughout the park are beautiful trees and they were in full fall splendor! But what made this engagement session so perfect was the easy going and fun loving couple! We didn’t need to use prompts to get these two to look at each other with adoring expressions or laugh on cue. They are mad for each other and it is written all over their faces and in their body language! Katie was absolutely stunning in her dark sapphire velvet maxi dress with her gorgeous auburn hair that out did the colors on the trees!!
We enjoyed strolling through Birmingham with them so much! Their wedding happens to be in the fall of 2019 and even if we have a dry fall then, we know that with these two it won’t matter one little bit! Nobody will be noticing the leaves on the trees! All attention will be on these two and how they make the world around them more beautiful!
Thank you, Katie & Dan, for letting us into your world and capturing this monumental life event! We cannot wait until next October!
~Katie & Cindy
Beautiful couple inside and out!
