A Beautiful Lifestyle Session in Ross Bridge Reynolds Landing

We first met the McCleskey family back in November of 2017 when Brandi contacted us to do a newborn session with their new baby girl, Logan.  On the day of the session, however, little Logan wasn’t too keen on the idea of being handled by a stranger, wrapped, re-wrapped, wrapped again, and away from mama.  Big brother, Jackson, too was not terribly interested in posing for the camera (I mean, what 3 year old is?), but of course, we were still able to get some great images because, as you’ll see below, they are all incredibly adorable.  Still, as photographers, we felt that the McCleskey family deserved more from us.  So, we offered them a mini session and met once again some weeks later for an outdoor lifestyle session at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.  And, let me tell ya, IT WAS AMAZING!  The weather was perfect, Jackson was in his element, and even baby Logan seemed happy to see us again!  The session could not have gone any better and the finished product was absolute perfection!  Mission accomplished.

Fast forward to June 2018.  Brandi and the family were ready to do a 6 month session for Logan and a few family portraits in their new home at Ross Bridge Reynolds Landing in Hoover, Alabama.  We do LOVE a lifestyle shoot!  AND we were thrilled to get to spend some time with the McCleskey family again!!

When we arrived at the McCleskey home, it was like walking into every photographer’s dream!  The place was flooded with natural light, it had a red brick wall INSIDE, it had beautiful neutral colors everywhere, an open floor plan and the décor was straight out of an interior design magazine!  Even Jackson and Logan were happy to see us!  This was also our first introduction to Griffin, their adorable, gentle, giant of a dog. It was literally like visiting family that we hadn’t seen in months!

Brandi had given us a couple of suggestions on some shots that she was hoping for, so we started there.  The kids were so into the session and we were having so much fun!  Our 1.5 hour session could have easily gone on and on and on.  It was one of those sessions that flowed so naturally and everyone was feeling so good that we had to be careful not to over stay our welcome!  After the last few shots outside in the amazing outdoor area, complete with woods, a path and a bridge, we wrapped things up.  Logan was ready for a nap and Jackson was ready for some free play.  Our visit, I mean our session, was over.  It was time to say goodbye.

To Brandi, Cal, Jackson, Logan & Griffin, THANK YOU for inviting us into your home and into your lives!  We can’t wait to see you all again!

Until next time………..
