Mark and Chynna Darling! Mr. and Mrs. Darling! That name, right!?!?! We met Mark and Chynna for the first time over the phone. After Chynna contacted us through our website, we arranged a call so that we could all talk and get to know each other. They were in Barcelona, Spain, we were in Homewood, Alabama. We had a great conversation talking of wedding plans and traveling. By the end of the call, it was settled and we were (figuratively) on top of the world, while Mark and Chynna were literally traveling around the world! Over the course of their 15 month engagement, they visited roughly 10 (maybe 11) countries! We loved following them on social media and watching them have the time of their lives!
It seemed like forever for their December wedding to get here! Making the drive to Dothan, Alabama was made much easier knowing that the day finally had arrived and we were going to get to spend the day with this beautiful bride and groom! And we were not disappointed! The Grand on Foster was everything we’d hoped it would be and the wedding was a dream!
Hanging out with Chynna, her bride tribe and her family, pre-wedding, was so much fun! Everyone was so sweet! Her girls looked like royalty! Be sure to check out their incredibly gorgeous, emerald green velvet dresses! The girls were absolutely jaw dropping gorgeous! The venue was coming together as the vendors were bustling around putting everything in order. Once the groom and his guys arrived, we got to spend time with them and once again, these guys were just the best! They all looked so sharp in their classic black tuxedos and Mark in his contrasting white tux jacket with black lapel! They were funny, friendly and naturals in front of the camera! The day could not have gone any smoother!
The ceremony hall was beautiful! The florals and the flowing drapery, the chandeliers and the harpist made for a magical wedding as Chynna was escorted down the aisle by her father in her gorgeous gown with her train trailing elegantly behind her. Mark and Chynna did not take their eyes off of each other the entire ceremony! We’re pretty sure they didn’t take their eyes off of each other the rest of the night!
The reception was perfectly planned out! Each of the food tables represented a different and favorite country that Mark and Chynna had visited over their engagement year! The guest book was an oversized passport! The reception hall glowed from a mix of twinkling lights from the Christmas trees, soft candle light from the tables and more gorgeous chandeliers. After dinner, the celebration was so much fun! Chynna’s brother, Spencer, aka DJ Aviator ;), kept everyone on the dance floor! The soft glowing dinner lighting transformed into a hot party with a never ending light show spectacle and music that kept everyone moving!
From the beginning of the day, until the last sparkler fizzled out, this wedding day was perfect! Mark and Chynna know how to make the most out of life and their wedding day reflected that! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Darling, for inviting us into your world and trusting us to document the most important day of your lives! We will continue to follow you on your travels around the world and you both will always hold a special place in our hearts! Let New Zealand know you’ve been there and enjoy the hell out of it!
