We love a good “how they met” story! One of the many perks of being wedding photographers is getting to know so many wonderful people! And we met 2 of the nicest people around on this day! Nia & Charodd are from two different parts of the US. She, from New Jersey and Charodd from Georgia. They were brought together by their educational aspirations and mutual love for athletics. They met while attending The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Like many couples that meet on campus, they not only used their time there to enhance their future career paths and achieve MUCH success in the athletics program, but also to get to know each other…..and fall in love! And we are SO glad that they found each other (and that they found us)!
Charodd and Nia are so perfect together. They feed off of each other. Every now and then Charodd would reach up and brush Nia’s hair away from her eyes and it just made us melt! Nia NEVER stopped smiling! And what a smile it is! She just radiates with happiness! As with a lot of grooms to be, Charodd may have been a little hesitant at the thought of having to spend his day in front of a camera. However, it was a gorgeous day and the temp was perfect and Charodd knocked every shot out of the park! Neither of them had spent any time in downtown Birmingham before, so we were excited to show them around a bit of downtown and Railroad Park. We think that they may have found a new Sunday afternoon hangout! Who doesn’t love Railroad Park on a beautiful day??
Everything about this session was perfect! So much so, that even though we got a little side tracked by Santa and the Birmingham Christmas Parade, we kept clicking our cameras until well past dark! Sometimes we get a little carried away when a session is going so well and we just keep snapping those pix! And there’s nothing better than when a couple is all for it! So, needless to say, Charodd realized that the session wasn’t exactly what he expected and actually enjoyed the day (we will definitely call this a WIN)!
We have 2 goals during an engagement session: 1. Beautiful images that the couple are over the moon for and 2. A wonderful experience that will be recalled each and every time they look at their images.
Nia & Charodd, we enjoyed our time with you so very much! We sincerely hope that you love these images as much as we do and when you look over them, now and over the years to come, we hope that you remember this day with special sentiment and one of the sweetest steps towards your happily ever after! We cannot wait to see you guys again on your big day in October!!!!!
